The five tabs that make up Adoption & Insights, and the scoring concepts — Adoption Score, Capability Score, Strength, Overall Tier, and Milestones — that those tabs report on.

1. Adoption vs. Mastery

The platform tracks two related but different ideas.
  • Adoption measures whether you are using the platform regularly and meaningfully, over a rolling 30-day window.
  • Mastery measures whether you have demonstrated verified skills inside the product.
Remember this sentence: login shows presence, meaningful actions show adoption, and verified completed work builds mastery. Mastery points move you through the tiers. Left: a four-layer funnel — Presence (logins, page views), Adoption (meaningful actions within 60 days), Evidence (a task you complete), Mastery points (+1 per completed task, confidence +0.05). Right: a six-rung tier ladder — Explorer 0, Starter 1 to 7, Contributor 8 to 19, Builder 20 to 39, Anchor 40 to 74, Strategist 75 and above — and the three capability levels Emerging, Proficient, Advanced. Bottom: the adoption score formula and its four statuses. Two independent scales — adoption is a 60-day usage score, mastery is a lifetime point total that only grows when you complete a task.

The scoring flow

You perform real work in Julley PMS → the platform records the activity → if the action qualifies as verified mastery evidence, the relevant capability gains a point and its strength increases → capability points are added into your Total Mastery Points → Total Mastery Points determine your Overall Tier. Separately, recent activity is used to calculate your Adoption Score.

2. The Five Adoption & Insights Tabs

How to use these tabs

1. Start with the page purpose — know whether you are looking at adoption, delivery health, a person, or a position.
2. Look for exceptions — prioritise overdue, stale, unassigned, overloaded, or approval-heavy areas rather than only the highest numbers.
3. Take corrective action — update the work itself (owner, status, due date, approval, or completion) instead of trying to improve a score directly.

This is a reading and improvement tool, not a stand-alone employee performance score. A high rank or high activity count does not automatically mean work is healthy — always read adoption signals together with overdue work, task ownership, approvals, and completion quality.

3. Capability Score, Strength and Mastery Level

A capability is a specific product behaviour or skill the platform verifies — for example, “Complete tasks with ownership hygiene.” Each unique, valid evidence event for a capability contributes to that capability’s score; a genuine qualifying task completion currently contributes +1 point. Strength / Confidence represents how much verified evidence supports the capability score. Each valid evidence event increases strength by 0.05, up to a maximum of 1.00.

Example

A user with 57 valid task-completion signals has a task capability score of 57 (Advanced). Strength reaches 1.00 once enough verified evidence has accumulated; it does not keep increasing beyond 1.00.

4. Overall Tiers

Your Overall Tier is not calculated from confidence — it is calculated from your Total Mastery Points, the sum of your capability scores.

5. Milestones / Badges

Badges are achievement markers — not simply another tier. Each badge checks for a particular pattern of mastery. See Leaderboard for where these scores and badges are displayed, and Improving Adoption & Delivery Performance for how to move up the tiers.
