Timeline - SethuOS Docs

The Timeline shows project tasks against their planned dates. It combines task information such as Task Name, Assignee, and Status with a time-based schedule.

1. What Is the Timeline Tab?

2. Quick Controls

Control	What it does
Search	Search by task, assignee, or status.
Day / Week / Month	Change the time scale depending on the level of detail required.
Today	Return the timeline to the current period.
Critical Path	View tasks that can directly affect the overall project completion timeline.
Previous / Next	Move backward or forward across the timeline.
+ New Task	Create a task directly from the Timeline view.
Expand / Collapse groups	Open or close status/task groups when tasks are grouped in the left panel.

3. Why Is This Helpful?

The Timeline helps users understand when work is planned, how tasks are spread across the project duration, and which work is active or completed.

Timeline vs. WBS Gantt

Use Timeline for a simpler date-based view of tasks. Use WBS Gantt when you need more detailed planning around milestones, dependencies, and critical path.
